Characters:
Inuyasha
Main Character. Arrogant. Is half dog demon, half human. Met a young priestess named Kikyou 50 years before.
After Naraku set a trap for InuYasha and Kikyou, Kikyou pinned InuYasha to a tree with a sacred arrow with the last of her
strength. InuYasha is set free from the spell by Kagome, and now travels with her to destroy Naraku and collect fragments
of the Shikon Jewel.
Kagome (she's
supose to be saying SIT,but since my background is black it dosn't show up)
Second main character. Is an average 15 year old modern day Japanese school girl. The day she turned 15, her cat, Buyo,
went into the secret well on the shrine grounds that she lived on. While fetching him, she gets pulled into the well
by a monster by the name of Mistress Centipede. She comes out into feudal Japan. While looking for the shrine she lives on,
she comes upon a tree that has a white haired boy with dog ears (InuYasha) who is apparently sleeping. She is taken in by
villagers until Mistress Centipede chases her up a hill and rips the Shikon jewel from her body. While being chased, InuYasha
awakens and starts calling her Kikyou. She pulls the binding arrow out of his chest. He destroys the demon then comes after
Kagome. Later she breaks the jewel into tiny shards and they begin searching for them. She is smart. She uses her collected
jewel shards to pass through the well into her own world to try to keep up with school and family.
Sango
Sango is a demon exterminator. She comes upon a shard of the Shikon Jewel when she slays a centipede demon. While exterminating
a spider demon, her brother, Kohaku (which by the way is my japanese name), is possessed by a small spider connected by a
thread to the REAL spider demon, who was disguised as a human. Kohaku kills the other slayers, including his and Sango's father,
then tries to kill Sango before he contains himself. They are both shot with arrows and buried, but Sango bursts out of the
soil, not able to die. Naraku takes her in and tells her that InuYasha destroyed her village and took the Shikon Jewel shard,
while in reality, Naraku told some demons to destroy the village. She fights InuYasha with the last of her strength (with
the help a jewel shard, given to her by Naraku) and finds out Naraku's insidious plot. So she travels with InuYasha and co.
Her brother Kohaku was controlled by Naraku, and is considered one of his underlings.
Miroku
Miroku is a Buddhist monk with questionable morals. His grandfather sought out Naraku to kill him, but one day Naraku put
a curse in his hand. The curse was passed down to Miroku, and is called the Wind tunnel. The Wind Tunnel draws in anything
in its path. Each year the Wind Tunnel gets bigger and the winds get more powerful. Miroku has to destroy Naraku before the
Wind tunnel draws him in. Miroku is basically a perverted monk. He always asks women if they could bear his child. The prayer
beads around his right hand keep the Wind Tunnel under control.
Kikyo
Kikyou is the priestess that protected the Shikon Jewel from demons and humans that sought it. She protected and sheltered
a fugitive named Onigumo in a cave. He suffered burns and injuries all over his body, and had two broken legs. But he still
lived. She took care of him until she met InuYasha. Then Onigumo called forth the demons that Kikyou protected him from, and
thus was born Naraku. Kikyou fell in love with InuYasha, and told him that he could use the sacred jewel to become human.
But on the day that Kikyou brought the jewel to a meeting place for InuYasha, Naraku trick them both into killing each other.
Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyou. Kikyou was brought from the dead 50 years after her death by the evil witch Urasuea.
Kikyou must stay alive by using the souls of dead girls.
Sesshomaru
Sesshoumaru is InuYasha's older half brother. He is a full demon and he hates InuYasha because InuYasha inherited the sword
Tetsusaiga, which can kill 100 demons in one sweep, and he inherited the sword Tenseiga, which can save 100 human lives in
one sweep. Sesshoumaru used Tenseiga to save the human girl Rin, who is the mute girl who took care of Sesshoumaru when InuYasha
used the Wind Scar on him. Jaken, a toad demon, is Sesshoumaru's assistant.
Other variouse characters
About Naraku and his Underlings>>> Naraku is the villain of the
story. He seeks the Shikon jewel to become a full demon and be of full power. He has many servants, two of which are Kanna
and Kagura. Kagura is a Wind Sorceress. Naraku holds her life in the palm of his hand, and can kill her at any moment. Kagura
wishes to kill Naraku so she can be free, but if Naraku were to find out, he would kill her. She controls the wind with her
fan. Naraku wears a white baboon coat. About Kirara and Shipou>>> Kirara (pronounced Kilala) is Sango's pet and sidekick cat demon. She once was the sidekick of Midoriko, who was the most powerful
priestess of her time. The Shikon Jewel was thrust out of Midoriko's chest. Kirara can take on the form of a small kitten,
or what looks like a Saber-toothed tiger. Shippou is a small fox demon whose father was killed by the Thunder Brothers. Shippou

like her, because she resembled Kikyou. But after traveling with her for some time, he begins to warm up to her. As long as
he knows that she is alive somewhere, he can be at peace. The relationship between InuYasha and Kikyou 50 years after her
death was a bad one. They both thought that they betrayed each other, until InuYasha found out that they were tricked into
hating each other by Naraku. InuYasha has feelings for Kikyou, and likewise could be said for Kikyou. About The InuYasha Group>>>
Most of the people in this group have two things in common - they want to destroy Naraku, and they came over misfortune when
they came across the Sacred Shikon Jewel. The only two who don't have a real reason to kill Naraku are Kagome and Shippou.
About Miroku and Sango>>> The relationship between Miroku and Sango is a professional one. Sango develops feeling
for Miroku as the story progresses, but Miroku will always be a pervert. About other charaters>>> The InuYasha Group run into a lot of characters during their adventures, some who are enemies and some who are good. Some
of these other characters are bystanders, like Kaede, Myouga, Kohaku, Souta, etc.
